High School South Students Created a Virtual Concert to Help Support Teachers Affected by the California Wildfire
A few West Windsor High School South students, Laura Wu, Kathy Yang, Anna Deng, and Richard Hao, all sophomores, and Angela Du, a junior in the Princeton Day School in Princeton, Athena Liu, another sophomore in the Wilberforce high school in Princeton are organizing a fund raising concert with totally 23 young musicians from 18 schools, 9 states, and 2 countries (US and Singapore) to help support the teachers affected by the catastrophic LA wildfire in January, 2025. The funds they are raising will go to the California Teacher Association (CTA). They already raised over five thousand dollars and they would like anyone in West Windsor or nearby towns to help their charity efforts for those teachers that lost their homes.

Suzanna Lu, a sophomore from Bridgewater High School and Riley Huang, an eight grader from a private high school in Orlando contributed their art works "Hope" and "We are with you" to show their support (see below), both of which were included in the concert video.

Laura Wu has been participating the charity work via Harmony123.org, a non-for-profit group since 2020. When the pandemic hit the world and a group of young musicians and young dancers created a platform to perform virtually every month to the elderlies in the senior centers. She is now the co-President of foundation and recently recruited her classmates from the West Windsor High School South and they are planning to do more live performances and charity work serving the community in the West Windsor township.
