Press release: Altered Book Art Workshop Fall 2024
When: Nov 11, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Where: West Windsor Arts
Cost: $25 – $30
In this explorative class, students will be starting their own altered book. An altered book is a book that is transformed into something more personal to you using various art materials and techniques. The book will serve as our canvas to create art on.
We will use a variety of mixed media to start this process. I will teach some techniques to assist in this process. Students will typically not complete this altered book, as it’s just the starting phase! This book can be worked on outside of this workshop for continual creativity.
Students can bring mixed media materials or their own book if they wish. They can bring photos, magazines, paint pens, writing materials, tape, etc.
This workshop is held in support of of Arts and Health month through Mercer County to promote the role of healing, affirming, and nurturing healthy individuals through creating art.
