Press Release: Guyout Walk Volunteer Workday

Workday 2: Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 1-4 pm

Sign-up to volunteer! Spots are limited to 30 per shift.

New and experienced volunteers will work together, removing invasive plants and replacing them with native flowers and shrubs.

Be sure to bring a reusable water bottle and work gloves. We recommend wearing long sleeves, long pants, and work boots/sneakers–this will best protect you from thorns, ticks, and poison ivy. We ask that if you are feeling sick or have potentially been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, to please stay home and join us at another time.

If you have them, bring gloves, pruners, lopping shears, shovels, spades, rakes, wheelbarrow.

Water and light refreshments will be provided.

Meeting Location: Entrance to Guyot Walk at Jefferson Road (estimated entrance address between 188 Jefferson and 200 Jefferson). Walking and biking is encouraged. Limited street parking is available along Jefferson and Moore.

The workday will be rescheduled to Sunday, April 2 from 1-4pm in the event of extreme weather.
