In foundations artscape, students will explore a wide range of art mediums in order to expose students to a variety of art making skills. The National Endowment for the Arts research has shown that children who get early arts enrichment education do profoundly better academically, socially and civically. Children exposed to arts at a young age have a greater chance of becoming creative and innovative thinkers in later years. The ArtScape curriculum introduces artists to different media like drawing, painting, and sculpture projects to build skills with exposure to a wide range of techniques, all balanced with imaginative art-making. As students get older, they will demonstrate a better understanding of technique and art literacy. New projects and subjects will be explored, so both new and continuing students are welcome. *This class is a part of our Certificate in Fine Arts Program and will give each student one point towards their CiFA certification
