Press Release: Bye Bye Birdie
When: Aug 6, 2 pm
Where: Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College and The Yardley Players
It’s 1960 and rock star Conrad Birdie is the biggest thing to top the charts. Women love him, men want to be him and teenage girls around the country scream with glee at the mere mention of his name.
Then the United States Army drafts Birdie and his fans are devastated, but none more than struggling songwriter Albert Peterson, whose song Birdie was just about to record.
Albert's longtime girlfriend, Rosie, pushes Albert to write a new tune that Birdie will perform on television to and give “One Last Kiss” to a fan selected in a contest.
The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee declared the winner, but no one has counted on the jealous wrath of her boyfriend
Ticket cost: $24 adults; $22 seniors, students, & children

Heavy rain, with a high of 77 and low of 67 degrees. Don't forget your umbrella! Mist for the morning, overcast in the afternoon, sunny during the evening, cloudy overnight.
It's unfortunate the author does not discuss the fact that a flip phone can provide students with the communications described in the article as essential.
Hi Tom, thank you for your thoughts! You are absolutely correct in saying that flip phones are actually not included in New York’s new policy, and could be a good alternative for students, since they would allow for basic communications but would not have the capacity for social media access, etc.
